Arab Reform Initiative

The Arab Reform Initiative is an independent think tank based in Paris, France, specializing in research, policy analysis, and strategic dialogue on democratic governance and social transformation across the Middle East and North Africa. Operating since 2004, the organization conducts original research informed by local experiences and partners with institutions throughout the Arab world and globally to develop comprehensive policy solutions. The initiative's expertise spans multiple critical areas including political transition, security frameworks, social justice, political economy, and environmental governance from a justice and sustainability perspective. Their work encompasses analytical research that addresses risks to national stability, the development of security arrangements that support permanent political organization, and platforms for citizens to articulate principles guiding national reconstruction. Governed by a Plenary of members and an Executive Committee, the Arab Reform Initiative maintains editorial independence while being funded through grants from private foundations and select governmental agencies in Europe and North America.
